What is Outreach?
Outreach means reaching out to those seniors who are frail or impaired, to assist them in remaining at home, as safe and independent as possible.
How do I learn more about applying for public benefits such as food stamps, fuel assistance, etc.?
Applications and guidelines vary by program; therefore, please contact the Outreach Coordinator for specific information.
How do I arrange for free van transportation?
The van schedule is published in the newsletter Senior Dimensions. Call the Senior Center 48 hours in advance for reservations.
What are some of the popular programs?
Members can swim at the Seamist Resort pool on Tuesdays, Wednesdays Thursdays between Labor Day and Memorial Day; several Bridge sessions are offered; exercise and yoga classes are offered regularly. The Center also has an art group, book club, bowling league, bridge club, men’s club, golf, movies, senior singing group, walker/talkers and many volunteer opportunities.
