The Council on Aging is an organized commitment by the population of the Town of Mashpee to coordinate or carry out human service, educational, social and Rrecreational services and programs for the senior community.
The Center publishes a monthly newsletter of activities, has a van transportation service for shopping and medical appointments, a Meals on Wheels program for daily lunch, exercise and yoga classes, several counseling programs for help on legal, tax and Medicare questions, a Thrift Shop, a Police telephone reassurance program and many classes and social activities. The Outreach Coordinator helps seniors with special needs with information, referral and follow-up. Volunteers at the Center aid with all of the programs and number in excess of 240 individuals who are helping their neighbors.
