Finance Committee Code of Ethical Conduct

The Mashpee Finance Committee, charged with the fiscal oversight and review of the Town of Mashpee's operations, the education of residents and the role outlined within the Town of Mashpee Charter hereby adopts a code of professional conduct for members in conducting official business.
To uphold and advance the honor, dignity and reputation of the Town of Mashpee in keeping with these standards of ethical conduct, we agree to:
1. Conduct ourselves with honesty, integrity and fairness
2. Promote an atmosphere of collegiality with colleagues with mutual respect
3. Respect the residents' right to communicate, inquire and participate in discussion regarding the work of the Town of Mashpee Finance Committee
4. Use knowledge and skill to increase the competency and prestige of the Town of Mashpee Finance Committee by providing exemplary professional and personal conduct at all times
5. Have due regard and respect for all regulations, laws, policies and contractual standards under which the Town of Mashpee is guided
6. Communicate appropriate professional support by practicing non-judgmental behavior
7. Act in professional matters related to Town of Mashpee business as a faithful agent for each resident
8. Endeavor to aid the professional development and advancement of Town of Mashpee employees and management staff
